In fact, strong dedication is needed to ensure the long and complex transformation of the wood: from a fragile little plant, to a fully grown tree which will become a sturdy, well seasoned board, ready to be transformed into a valuable object.

A man’s life-span is not long enough to see some quality wood mature and transform.

Being a part of the biological cycle of wood is an act of faith in nature and in development of man’s ecological awareness.

Florian Legno Spa is proud to be a part of this cycle, by contributing to the replacement of mature plants and the regeneration of woods.

Florian Legno Spa closely follows, and is actively involved in, the production from the very first transformations of the best raw materials; nearly all the material sold has been transformed by Florian Legno Spa with the commitment of putting the material to its best use, avoiding pointless waste, increasing its value and maintaining prices.

Their panels have been put on the market with this aim.

Within the limits established by nature

Wood is not always available because nature’s cycles must be respected. The cutting of trees is seasonal, and can only be done when the plants are mature. There can also be shortages of certain types of wood in some seasons, etc.

The production of our sawmills

Six sawmills produce timber for Florian Legno Spa. They are all autonomous and highly flexible and produce boards, trimmed boards and other elements. They enable Florian to meet particular requirements in quality and dimensions at highly competitive prices.

Our drying capacity

The main premises are equipped with one of the most productive and technologically advanced drying plants in Europe with other drying plants situated in the single production units. In total the complete drying capacity measures 5,000 square meters.

The potential of our panel production

In addition to the plant on the main premises, Florian Legno has three other production plants for solid multilayer panels. In this way they have succeeded in combining large production capacity with high flexibility.

In order to guarantee the maximum synergy between the different sectors and ensure that every stage in production and marketing is constantly controlled, Florian concentrates all its most important wood-working plants in a single location within an area of 80,000 square metres, of which 30,000 are covered.
