Wood description:
The typical character of its stripes distinguishes Cariniana wood. Similar to walnut, it is precious too and it is used as its substitute per length and colour.

Texture: medium.

High shrinkage;
Quite vulnerable to wood-boring insects and fungi.

Sawing: trouble-free;
Drying: slow, with risk of collapse;
Planing: easy;
Glueing: easy;
Nailing and screwing: easy;
Finishing: trouble-free;

High class furniture for interiors and exteriors;
